Today (16 October) Beth started a 6 month research visit to the European Astronaut Centre (part of the European Space Agency) based in Cologne, Germany. Best of luck Beth!
Nick gave an invited talk at the 17th Gettering and Defect Engineering in Semiconductor Technology (GADEST) conference (1-6 October) in Georgia, on the topic of defect engineering in silicon-based thermoelectrics.
Congratulations to Neil who at the end of the month (30 September) won both the 2nd year PhD prize and the IMPEE conference poster prize.
We were well represented at the recent European Conference on Thermoelectrics in Italy (25-27 September), with an invited talk from Nick, a contributed talk from Edwin and a poster from Peter.
